Nells Son sparkles at Carlisle

 In Greystoke Galloper

Nells Son ran a brilliant race at Carlisle yesterday to win the Weatherby’s nhstallions.co.uk graduation chase over 2 miles.

Although they were only four runners it was a fiercely competitive race, with Gavin Cromwell sending a horse over from Ireland and Paul Nicholls and Dan Skeleton having a runner each.  Nells Son settled in third place, jumping and travelling well. He was slightly hampered when the Nicholls horse fell 4 out.

Danny McMenamin tracked the eventual second Unexpected Party and, although he had 4 lengths to make up jumping the last, Danny timed his challenge to perfection, sweeping past the runner up to win going away by a length.

Nells Son showed great determination and courage to quicken past the runner up. Nells Son is a very talented horse,  and was winning his seventh race.

Nicky’s team continues in great form. If you want to find out more about getting involved, check out our racehorse ownership and syndicate opportunities and become part of the team here at Greystoke.
