January Roundup
14/01/22
The ground has finally softened up and we had lots of placed efforts from runners over the New Year.
Tfou made his debut on Sunday at Ayr and picked up at the very end to take second. He will have gained a lot of experience from that run and hopefully learned his job.
We were quiet with runners mid-week but there is three days in a row for us now, beginning with Rubytwo who has finished third today at Sedgefield under Danny McMenamin. He made his return to race riding yesterday at Bangor-On-Dee and we’re happy to have him back!
Snowy Clouds heads to Wetherby for first run since wind surgery so we will see how that has helped him. Release The Kraken was ok after his mishap last time out and gets another chance, this time in a Novice Handicap Hurdle.
Glittering Love has also been declared for Wetherby in the 3:23 Handicap Chase. He got back to winning ways last time out at Carlisle in December and is feeling well in himself.
On Sunday, Soft Risk is back out again after his easy victory at Kelso just after Christmas. He has a double penalty for his two wins, but he’s shaping like a smart horse and we’re excited to see him progress.
Serious Ego will be having his third start for his new syndicate. Due to a change of circumstances there is now three 5% shares left in him, if you’re interested don’t hesitate to get in touch! He won in January last year on heavy going so hoping for soft ground again on Sunday.
Also entered at Newcastle on Tuesday we have Uncle Alastair and Bullion Boss.
Last Tuesday we welcomed back into the yard three of our youngsters from the summer, along with Harry D’Arc who had a break after his first start in September. We will be following their progress as they start their training and preparations.
