It’s Sunnyvilla and Jo Coko at the Double for Nicky Richards at Uttoxeter
It’s was a great day yesterday at Uttoxeter for the Greystoke stable of Nicky Richards.
It started with evergreen 11 year old Sunnyvilla in the Terrible Tittes and other Bittes Charity Handicap Chase over 2 miles.
The very lightly raced Sunnyvilla started the day off in great fashion when, as usual jumping brilliantly all the way round under Callum Bewley, Sunnyvilla won comfortably by one and half lengths. Sunnyvilla is one of the Nicky Richards own syndicate horses and there was great celebration from its owners after Sunnys win.
In the last three races Sunny has won twice, and just lost out finishing second at at Haydock.
Things got even better for the Greystoke stable when the seven year old Jo Coko won the Quinnbet Daily Free Bet Novices Handicap Chase over the marathon distance of 3 miles two furlongs.
Always travelling well in midfield, Jo Coko was brought to challenge by Sean Quinlan jumping the last and stayed on strongly to win by two and a quarter lengths. The 7 year old Jo Coko looks to have a bright future in staying chases.
