Here at Nicky Richards Racing we pride ourselves on offering a personal owner experience. Join us at the top table in selecting your horse mix, and with the elite in the racing world in the UK and Ireland.

Are you interested in racehorse ownership?

At Nicky Richards Racing we have several great opportunities for you to become an owner – whether you are new to racehorse ownership or already experienced. We offer sole ownership and partnerships. We can support you through your ownership journey from initial registration, choosing your racing colours, through to finally owning your own horse. Join your racehorse on its journey through life. Experience the thrill of owning your own horse, and the joys of racehorse ownership, including visits to the stables.

We have some fantastic horses currently available for either sole ownership, partnerships or syndicates. If you are looking for a larger share than our syndicates offer, but don’t have the budget to own a full horse, we may be able to match you with others in a similar position and help you create your own partnership.

  • We never imagined when we got our first horse with Nicky 15 years ago that we would have had the level of ongoing success we have had and continue to do so. Success not just at the local level but at the highest level with many emotional days at Cheltenham, in Ireland and at all the big Saturday tracks including Grade 1 wins.

  • I have had horses with Nicky since he took over from his father some 19 years ago and over that time we have shared a lot of success and fun together. Greystoke is a happy yard - the horses want for nothing and in the beautiful surroundings are always given the time to achieve their full potential. The results speak for themselves!

Nicky has been meticulously viewing, checking and researching horses over the year to try and find the next top class prospect for his owners. He has recently purchased 10 new well bred racehorses for the future.

Different Types of Racehorse Ownership

Different models of racehorse ownership are available with Nicky and his team at Greystoke and be assured you will receive a 5 star continuing service when you join us.

Here are some of the different ownership models we support

Sole Ownership: This is when an individual owns the entire horse. You have full control over decisions regarding training, racing, and breeding.

Partnerships: In a partnership, multiple individuals come together to collectively own a racehorse. This can help distribute the costs and responsibilities.

Corporate Ownership: Some individuals choose to set up a company or partnership specifically for racehorse ownership. This can have financial and legal benefits, as expenses and income related to the horse can be managed through the business entity.

Family Ownership: Families might come together to jointly own a racehorse, providing a shared experience and bonding opportunity. This can be a rewarding way to introduce younger generations to the world of horse racing.
