Smokeringinthedark wins at Musselburgh to continue Nicky Richards great stable form
On his first outing for the Nicky Richards Greystoke stable the four year old Smokeringinthedark battled on well to comfortably hold the challenge of the odds on favourite Jet to Vegas to win by half a length in the LiveScore Bet EBF National Hunt novice hurdle over 2 miles 4 furlongs at Musselburgh.
These two drew well clear of the third horses and this looked a good race. Settled in second by Danny McMenamin, he took up the running turning for home and was joined by the strong travelling Jet to Vegas. However when Danny asked Smokeringinthedark he stayed on strongly to hold the favourite with a bit in hand.
This continues the excellent form of the Nicky Richards Greystoke stable and will hopefully speed up Nickys recovery from his injuries sustained about 2 weeks ago.
