Ruby Island blitzes round Haydock to Give In Form Nicky Richards another winner
The 9 year old mare Ruby Island put up a sparkling performance at Haycock today in the Copybet Supporting UK Horse Racing Chasing Excellence over 2 miles 3 furlongs. Ridden by jockey Danny McMenamin Ruby island tracked the odds on favourite Gamesters Guy for a circuit, jumping efficiently and well. Leaving the back straight at Haydock Danny moved her into the lead and jumping the last three fences brilliantly she drew clear to win by 13 lengths.
Ruby Island has taken well to fences and she is excellent jumper. She is lightly raced and with her jumping prowess she seems certain to win more races. This continued the excellent form of the Nicky Richards Greystoke stable.
