In Greystoke Galloper

Rickety Gate shows that age is no barrier to success for Nicky Richards at Carlisle

The 10 year old Rickety Gate put up a great performance to win the Ladies Night 5th of July handicap hurdle over 2 miles 3 furlongs at Carlisle on Saturday.

Conor Rabbit held up Rickety Gate in 3rd most of the way , delaying his challenge to just after the last hurdle. Rickety then showed great determination to quicken past the hot favourite George Darling to win with his ears pricked by 2 lengths.

Rickety had ran a great race last time to finish 4th at Wetherby and showed young or old horses the magic of Greystoke produces them to win.  This continued the great form of the Greystoke stable of Nicky Richards and his team.
