Red Cadillac Motors home to continue the Brilliant Form of The Nicky Richards Stable at Ayr
The 7 year old Red Cadillac gave his syndicate members another great day winning the Albert Bartlett Triple Crown Series Handicap Hurdle over 2 miles 4 furlongs at Ayr on Friday.
Given a great ride by his usual partner Callum Bewley, Red travelled well around the inside and jumped brilliantly all the way round. Turning into the straight Callum brought Red over the the stand side, jumping into the lead at the second last. He than jumped the last hurdle looking as if he would win comfortably, but the fast finishing Coconut Splash looked as though he would overhaul Red. Once Nickys charge was headed he fought back gamely to win by a head . The syndicate members were in great spirits as the welcomed him back into the winners enclosure.
This was Red Cadillac’s second win this season and in his other run he was very unfortunate to come up against a very leniently handicapped Gordon Elliott horse who is fancied for one of the big handicaps at Cheltenham this week.
Red Cadillac has run three times this season with two wins and a second for his delighted syndicate owners. Red is now qualified for the series final at Punchestown in about 7 weeks time.
It’s continues the fantastic form of the Nicky Richards Greystoke stable.
