Parisencore and Attin Continue the Red Hot Form of The Nicky Richards Greystoke Stable
At Newcastle on Saturday Nicky Richards continued the scintillating form of his Lake District Stable, delivering 8 wins in a row.
Parisencore was the first to deliver in the Acorn Catering Equipment Handicap Chase over 2 miles 4 furlongs. Held up by jockey Danny McMenamin he made progress to lead four fences out and was always holding the runner up and won a shade comfortably by one and half lengths.
The day got even better for the Greystoke stable when Attin lined up in the High Gosforth Park Golf Club Open National Hunt Flat Race over 2 miles. Attin was held up in midfield by jockey Danny McMenamin in the first half of the race, but 5 furlongs out he switched Attin to the outside and made steady progress. Going easily Danny produced him to lead three furlongs out and despite showing a little greenness Attin drew clear to win easily by 8 lengths. The five year old looks to have a very bright future ahead of him and was the 8th winner in a row for Nicky’s stable.
It was also a red letter day for Mrs I C Sellars and Miss D C Sellars who owned both Parisencore and Attin.
The success of the Nicky and the Greystoke stable is a testament to the dedication and hard work given to the horses by Nicky and his staff.
