Luckie Seven Delivers at Perth
The talented Luckie Seven put in a great performance to win the Auto Services Perth 24 hour Recovery Novices Hurdle over 2 miles 4 furlongs at Perth yesterday.
Held up behind the leaders he challenged the odds on favourite Gers Gigi trained by Gordon Elliott after the second last hurdle and, having taken that horses measure when it fell at the last hurdle,
Luckie Seven pricked his ears at the last hurdle where he was slow.
He was joined and passed by Byron’s Hill on the run in, but quickened back up to win by a short head a shade comfortably.
It was Luckies second win in a row and in his only 5 races on the track he has won 3 and been second twice. The future looks bright for the Greystoke inmate.
Parisencore, another Nicky Richards runner, ran a great race in the second race today just failing to hold on in 2 miles 4 furlongs Novices Handicap Chase having looked likely to win jumping the last fence.
To cap a fine day for the Greystoke team Summergrounds, the 8 year old gelding, ran an excellent race to finish 2nd in the Isuzu Pick Up at Asp Commercial Handicap hurdle over 2 miles 4 furlongs.
The Greystoke team continues in great form has the gear up for the season getting into full swing in October
