Lowlands runs a great race on her debut at Perth
The 6 year old mare Lowlands ran a great race on her hurdles debut at Perth today. Jumping well all the way round she only got tired at the last and was beaten by about 4 lengths, finishing ahead of the Gordon Elliott odds on favourite which had won its last two races.
Both Nicky and jockey Danny McMenamin were over the moon with her performance and expect her to come on a lot from her first run.
It’s unusual for a mare to jump so well on her first hurdle race and the prospects for the season look bright.
