Clovis Island continues the Greystoke winning run

At Hexham today Clovis Island followed up his second at Carlisle last time.

Ridden by Sean Quinlin, Clovis Island was a short price favourite in the Betting Bets Free Bets Maiden hurdle over 2 miles 4 furlongs at Hexham today. Sean jumped Clovis Island off in front and made all the running. He was briefly challenged jumping the last but soon picked up and won comfortably by three quarters of a length.

This followed the fantastic run by Famous Bridge at Cheltenham on Tuesday. The eight year old ran a cracking race to finish fourth in the Ultimate Premier Handicap Chase over 3 miles 1 furlong.

Nicky Richards has his team in first class order which bodes well for the rest of the season.
