Authorised Mission Scorches Home on His First Start for Nicky Richards at Kelso

The 5 year old Authorised Mission, who has joined the Greystoke stables of Nicky Richards from Chris Grant in the close season, made a sparkling debut for his new stable in the Graeme Todd Memorial Handicap Hurdle over 2 miles 4 furlongs at Kelso on Saturday.

Settled in the first two for most of the trip, and jumping well for Danny McMenamin, he travelled smoothly throughout the 2 miles 4 furlongs. Just before turning into the straight at Kelso, Danny asked Authorised Mission to stretch, and he effortlessly drew clear to win by 14 lengths.

This was a great performance for Nicky and his owner David Armstrong, and the scopey 5 year old Authorised gelding looks to have lots more improvement in him.

This continued the excellent form of the Greystoke stable in the last few weeks.
