Abbey Scope delivers in style to win on its racecourse debut for Nicky Richards at Kelso

The 5 year old son of Telescope, Abbey Scope put up a great performance at Kelso to win the Let’s Celebrate Davie open national hunt flat race yesterday.

He was settled behind the leaders by his jockey Danny McMenamin.  Danny produced him to challenge two furlongs out and, although running green on his first racecourse visit, he stayed on strongly to win by three and quarter lengths from the favourite Jimmy Hurdstrom.

This continued the excellent form of the Nicky Richards Greystoke stable and provided his jockey Danny McMenamin with the last leg of a treble on the Kelso card.
