A Famous Win for Famous Bridge at Haydock

The 9 year old Famous Bridge put up a sparkling performance at Haydock on Saturday to win the valuable Oddschecker Grand National Trial Handicap Chase over 3 miles 4 furlongs and 97 yards.

Settled behind the leaders by its jockey Sean Quinlan, Famous Bridge travelled strongly and jumped with great precision throughout the race.

Turning for home Sean moved Famous Bridge into third and looked to be travelling with supreme confidence. He moved Famous Bridge into the lead after jumping the second last. Although challenged by the favourite Apple Away jumping the last fence Famous bridge quickened away on the run in to win eased down by 3 lengths.

This was a brilliant performance by the Nicky Richards trained 9 year old, and gave Nicky immense pleasure because of his long association with the late great Trevor Hemings and his family.

This win continues the fine form of the Greystoke stables.

Come and join Nicky Richards as either a sole owner or be part of one of his syndicates and enjoy the thrill of ownership! 👇
