In Greystoke Galloper

The Greystoke Stable of Nicky Richards continued its sparkling form with a double at Kelso yesterday

It started when Abbey Scope won the 2000 Sacks of Carrots Handicap Hurdle over 2 miles 4 furlongs.  The 6 year old top weight delivered on the promise it had shown previously. Always in the front rank jockey Danny McMenamin sent him for home on the run to the last hurdle and he quickly settled matters to win by 4 lengths for owners The Roper Family.

Things got even better in the next race when Nicky’s horse Thorneylands ran on gamely to get up on the line to dead heat in the 2000 Sacks of Carrots Division 2 Handicap Hurdle again over 2 miles 4 furlongs.  Again ridden by jockey Danny McMenamin who had the 6 year old tracking the leaders throughout the 2 miles 4 furlongs race. Danny produced him to challenge after the last hurdle and Thorneylands ran on strongly to get up on the line to force a dead heat for owner Mr Jimmy Fyffe.

The Nicky Richards stable continues to fire out the winners with all the hard work of Nicky and his team showing all the benefits for its owners
