Milcree wins again after long lay off for Nicky Richards and Hemmings racing

Milcree, who had made a winning debut over fences at Ayr on the 2nd of January 2026 after being sidelined for over 20 months with injury, continued his comeback when winning at Ayr again on Friday.

Milcree, who is a lightly raced 8 year old gelding who is very talented, continued his progress when winning the Every Horse At Timeform.com Novices Limited Handicap Chase at Ayr on Friday.  Settled in third by his jockey Sean Quinlan he moved up to challenge jumping the 2nd last fence. When Sean asked him to put the race to bed he quickened well to win cosily by one and half lengths.

Milcree, who has only had 6 races in his entire career, looks to have an exciting future ahead of him if Nicky Richards can keep him sound for his long established supporters Hemmings Racing.

It continues the excellent form of the Nicky Richards Greystoke stable
