Upon Tweed Gives a Star Performance for Nicky Richards at Newcastle
The 5 year old gelding Upon Tweed made a sparking debut at Newcastle yesterday in the Watch Unbridled on attheraces.com Open National Hunt Flat race.
The 5 year well bred gelding by Berkshire travelled with supreme confidence under Danny McMenamin, always just behind the leaders. Danny moved him up to challenge over 2 furlongs out and settled the race in a matter of strides beating the Lucinda Russell favourite Conman John , who cost a £170,000, by 8 and half lengths eased down.
The 5 year old looks a horse with a very bright future ahead of him.
