Sauce of Life wins at Doncaster to continue Nicky Richards Greystoke stables fine run

The very talented but fragile Sauce of Life ran on strongly at Doncaster on Friday to win the the Annual Members handicap hurdle over 2 miles 3 furlongs.

The 9 year Sauce of Life was having only his 7th lifetime start , have been plagued by injury.  He was settled behind the leaders by Danny McMenamin jumping well he challenged after the last hurdle and showed great determination and bravery to quicken past the odds on favourite Court Cian.

Sauce of life rewarded the patience and loyalty of his owners.  This continued the excellent form of the Greystoke stable and was another tonic for Nicky has he continues his recovery from a fall over 2 weeks ago.

Ruby Island on his first run for the stable ran a race full of promise in the last race at Doncaster.
