Remembering Queen Elizabeth II – A huge supporter of horse racing, we will be forever grateful for her involvement and investment in our sport.
We had a good day at Cartmel at the end of August when our only runner Bon Retour won nicely in the hands of Brian Hughes for Mr Jim Ennis, taking our tally to four winners this season. 10 days later she followed that up with another success, this time at Hexham, with Sean Quinlan back in the saddle.
In Greystoke we are busy building the horses fitness levels ready for the season ahead. Most of them are now back cantering and we will slowly start increasing their work. After some summer maintenance, our schooling fences and hurdles are back up and ready, now we have had a good amount of rain we will start to school them all – especially the up and coming chasers.
We have a lot to look forward to with some exciting horses for this season.
There is a bit of a lull in jumps racing again over the next week, but Kelso returns with its first meeting since May. We have Caius Marcius entered after he was a non-runner at Perth due to the ground. He doesn’t want “soft” anywhere in the going so we will be hoping Kelso doesn’t get too much of the rain.
We will be present at Kelso regardless of runners, as we have a couple of the team who will be there promoting our syndicates and other ownership opportunities. If you have any questions or want to find out more about what we have available, please don’t hesitate to speak to one of us at Kelso, or get in contact with us via the links below.
